Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) is the flagship crop insurance scheme of the Government of India, launched in 2016. It aims to provide financial support to farmers suffering crop loss/damage arising out of unforeseen events.
In simple terms, PMFBY kya hai? It is a safety net for farmers. If your crop is destroyed due to heavy rains, drought, or pests, the insurance company pays you for the loss.

How to Check PMFBY Status

Often referred to as pmfby स्टेटस by आधार कार्ड or आधार कार्डद्वारे pmfby स्थिती (Marathi).
- Visit the official portal pmfby.gov.in.
- Click on the "Application Status" link on the homepage.
- You will typically need your Receipt Number (Application Number).
- Note: Direct search by strictly Aadhaar number is often available via CSC centers or by logging into the farmer corner, as public search requires the Receipt ID for privacy.
- Enter the captcha and click "Check Status".
Via Mobile App
- Download the "Crop Insurance" App from Google Play Store.
- Select "Check Application Status".
- Enter your Application/Policy Number.
- View the current stage: Submitted, Approved, or Reverted.
